The River Project appointed RMPR to develop and execute a PR & Social Media strategy. This project ran for seven months, from June 2014 – November 2014.
The RIVER Project focused on rural regeneration in the towns and villages on the inland waterways of the North East of Northern Ireland, and County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland.
The RIVER project aims to promote economic regeneration in a number of rural settlements in Counties Antrim, Derry-Londonderry and Cavan by focusing on the development of a shared common asset, namely their respective inland waterways.
These rural villages play an important role in servicing the needs of both local residents and visitors alike and their regeneration is a key priority that is shared by all of the project partners. The four partner rural villages and towns are: Belturbet on the River Erne; Balnamore/Drumaheglis marina and Caravan Park on the Lower Bann; Kilrea village on the Lower Bann; and Portglenone village on the Lower Bann
