The Brief

Kennedy Centre is a retail and leisure development in West Belfast with over 45 stores and an Omniplex Cinema in-house. The centre management approached Rumour Mill Creative Communications to create a vibrant video to entice people to shop in the centre. Kennedy Centre has a substantial and loyal existing customer base however the purpose of the video was to attract shoppers from further afield. A common misconception surrounding Kennedy Centre would be that it doesn’t have the stores people require. Shoppers are often surprised to learn that the centre contains an Argento, DV8 Fashion, Louis Boyd, Yankee Candle, Boots and much more. Our task was to produce a premium video to demonstrate how Kennedy Centre is a perfect destination for a family afternoon out!

The Outputs

Our video concept was to emphasis the vast offering in the centre. From the cinema to the kids soft play, free parking and a plethora or stores, there really is something for everyone. We storyboarded the shots to ensure we translated the benefits of having the soft play offering in the centre to allow single parents especially to get their shopping done and have a leisurely browse whilst knowing their child is safe in the centre.

We allocated a full days filming under strict timings to ensure minimal disruption to the shoppers and retailers. The final video was housed on the Kennedy Centre website and utilised for social media advertising across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
