Michael Chandler Estate Agents (MCEA) is one of Northern Ireland’s leading Estate Agents based on the Ormeau Road. In December 2013, they appointed Rumour Mill to develop the brand’s awareness and communicate the expertise offered by MCEA to potential new customers. It was key that RMCC showed the strength of the business and its continued growth within a very competitive market place.

The Approach

Rumour Mill used a mix of media relation activities to create awareness and ‘talkability’ around MCEA s and its services.

The Outcomes

MCEA valuation requests rose by 50% after the PR went live

10% came the next day after the BBC TV interview aired.

MCEA received a call from a homeowner 30 miles away from the area the agency targets, requesting they sell his home – after seeing Michael on TV.

360 organic new likes via Facebook within the first 3 weeks of the campaign.

Several of MCEA competitors started following RMCC on twitter and Facebook

With over 200 active sales properties on their books, MCEA have succeeded in securing their position as one of the top estate agencies in Northern Ireland.
