Unislim, the only locally-owned holistic weight loss and wellness company on the island of Ireland, recently announced the launch of its inaugural Inspire awards. The awards seek to recognise the organisation’s most inspirational members, with winners to be announced during a ceremony on 4th October 2023.
The awards are comprised of four categories, the first of which is Most Inspiring Transformation, which celebrates a member’s extraordinary transformation.
The WOW award recognises a personal accomplishment unrelated to weight loss, whilst the Health Hero award pays tribute to a member who has overcome health challenges during their journey with Unislim.
The final category is the Community Spirit award, which recognises individuals who have helped to support and motivate other members.
Unislim was founded in Newry by Agnes McCourt in 1972 and the business is now managed by her daughter, Fiona Gratzer. With a presence in every county in Northern Ireland, it offers weekly classes to support and motivate people engaging in weight loss across the country.

A cornerstone of Unislim’s offering is its unique Balance Plan, which includes over 500 nourishing and healthy foods. Combined with the organisation’s Bites system, the easy-to-follow plan ensures that no food is off limits for members.
Developed during lockdown, Unislim’s new online program allows members to join the organisation’s community via its members only app and to attend classes virtually via Zoom.
