Media training can help you ensure you make the most of the opportunity every time.
We help spokespeople, celebrities & personalities prepare for interview scenarios, including high profile print, broadcast & online media and speaking opportunities.
This training is suitable if you are new to public speaking, or if want to refresh your skills. Our trainer is a Chartered PR practitioner and former BBC journalist.
We offer media training shaped around your specific requirements. Typical session length is a half day (4 hours), and we will work with you to create exactly the right balance of interview theory and practice. Your training can focus on one specific type of interview, e.g. print, radio or TV, or can include a combination of all three. We will create a bespoke session, tailored to your requirements.
The training includes:
- Practical practice interviews & techniques from live TV settings, to press conferences and pre-recorded radio interviews.
- Record & playback – this is a great way to learn and develop your skills. We will record your interviews during your practice sessions and playback to discuss performance highlighting strengths & weaknesses.
- Essential theory – We will go through techniques on how to take control of an interview and deliver key messages, using the right tone of voice and body language effectively, as well as offering advice on how to avoid a journalist’s tricks and traps.
- Materials – You will be provided with mp4 copies of your interviews, along with a copy of our exclusive media interview skills guide, full of practical tips and step-by-step advice.
Where possible, we would like to host trainings face-to-face. However, as we navigate through the current coronavirus pandemic, we can offer our training through Zoom.
